Day 19

Day 19 – Saturday May 12th

A – Today's reading of the day is James Chapter 4 (NLT for me.)
          
Focal verses today are James 4:5 "What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy?"

Review verses:  Verse 7-8 "So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world."

B – RHEMA Strike Verse of the day: Micah 6:8 "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"    (Knowledge/Blue)

C – Excerpt from "Wild at Heart" by John Eldridge:
            "Isaiah 61:

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me;
because the Lord has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release for the prisoners. (v.1)"

D – Today's input:  WHAT ARE YOU DOING?  I ask because I want you to review what you are doing and verify it is what He would want you to be doing.  If He isn't #1 then we might as well set him aside because that is the only position that he wants (and deserves for that matter).  Look what he has done for you, (EVERYTHING). Look at what he has given you, (EVERYTHING).  What is keeping you/us from giving Him everything?

E – Today's prayer focus: Praise God for who He is.  Thank Him for what he has given you.

F – Encouragement and closing thoughts:  Now do something about it.  Do something for Him.
